CRAIG D'ANDREA
Biography
Craig's fresh take on song structure and groove as well as his personal, yet accessible, melodies have found him loyal fans and a recording contract with CandyRat Records. In 2006 Craig placed 3rd in the fingerstyle competition at the Canadian Guitar Festival in Odessa, Ontario. He followed that up just a year later by taking 1st place in the same competition at Loughborough Lake Holiday Park. Craig has toured with such esteemed guitarists as Andy McKee, Don Ross, Stephen Bennett, and Antoine Dufour for shows in Quebec, the Midwest, and East Coast.
Craig lists Lindsay Buckingham, Don Ross, Leo Kottke, Bach, the piano, drum sets, Taking Back Sunday, Eisley, Chet Atkins, Senses Fail, The Starting Line, Madi Diaz, Missy Higgins, Spitalfield, Envy on the Coast, Brand New, The Early November and girls from new jersey (there's a whole bunch of them)among his influences.
"I like to mix it up. As you can tell I listen to what some call 'Emo'... Don't even care. I'm not emo and they're just jealous!" and then he adds (perhaps a little more seriously) "Anyone who has given me cold chills while playing their instrument."

Performance Highlights
Craig won the 2007 Canadian Guitar Festival Competition and has gone on to establish a most promising career in the genre. He adds:
"I've been putting up new shows faster than ever before and I'm really excited about some of them. California finally gets a shot at being my friend and that's cool because there's lots of wine in California. Some of my shows (playing alongside Mike Falzone) are going to be cool. Mike is a singer/songwriter/hipster/friendly chap who has asked me to accompany him on stage for a few shows that he is calling his 'acoustic tour'. Hopefully we'll have enough time driving to venues for me to explain what 'tour' means to him. This run of shows will feature us opening for Meghan Tonjes."
